Parkway Concert Orchestra presents a Holiday Pops Concert on December 15 in Norwood

The Parkway Concert Orchestra will present its annual Holiday Pops Concert on Sunday December 15 at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 100 Winter Street, Norwood. Guest conductor Patrick Botti conducts the the 50 piece non-profit orchestra in classical and pops holiday favorites for the entire family, including Nutcracker Dances by Tchaikovsky, 'A Christmas Festival' by Leroy Anderson, and selections from Bizet's Arlésienne.

This concert is sponsored by May Funeral Home and the program is supported in part by a grant from the Norwood Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Donation is $15; $10 for seniors and students; and free for children under 12 years old. Light refreshments and free parking are included. For ticket reservations, please call 781-762-0288.

Patrick Botti, Guest Conductor

Guest Conductor Patrick BottiPatrick Botti is the Music Director and Founder of the Waltham Symphony Orchestra. Born in Marseille, France, Maestro Botti studied conducting, piano, solfège, harmony, and voice at the Marseille National Conservatory, the Académie Régionale de Piano in Marseille, the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, and the Paris National Conservatory. Patrick began his conducting career as Music Director of the Echo du Futur Symphony Orchestra in Marseille then went on to found and direct the highly acclaimed Concilium Musicum de Paris, for which he still remains Artistic Advisor.

Patrick has guest conducted numerous orchestras worldwide including the Paris Conservatory Orchestra, The French Radio Orchestras, the BBC and Royal College of Music Orchestra in London, the Luxembourg Radio Television Symphony Orchestra, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra in Canada, the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, the New England Conservatory Orchestras, the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Colorado Springs Symphony and the Athens Sinfonietta. His interpretations of both French and American music are acclaimed worldwide, and he has been heard on National Public Radio, the CBC Network, the BBC, and on French National Radio. Patrick was also Principal Guest Conductor of the Central Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra from 1992 to 2003 and Artistic Director of the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra from 1993 to 2000.
