Parkway Concert Orchestra in Dedham on May 21

The Parkway Concert Orchestra will present Spanish Gypsies on Sunday, May 21, at 3 p.m. at Saint Susanna Parish, 262 Needham Street, Dedham. Geneviève Leclair conducts the 50 piece non-profit orchestra in Bolero, Chabrier's España, and music from 'Lord of the Dance.' The concert features students of Dedham School of Music in Griegs's 'In the Hall of the Mountain King.' Violinist Aidan Gordon, the Dedham School of Music Concerto Competition Winner, and his teacher Kenneth Mok, will perform the 1st movement of the Double Violin Concerto, by J.S.Bach.

This concert is presented by Dedham School of Music and is sponsored by Dedham Savings. The program is supported in part by a grant from the Dedham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Doors will open at 2:30. Donation is $20 for families; $15 for adults; and free for students and children under 12 years old.
