Guest Artist JP Jubilee
JP Jubilee is a class for all seniors who want to learn new songs and musical skills, make friends, promote good health and perform for the community. Our motto is “Singing our way to longevity.” Elizabeth Anker, a singer and voice teacher, created it in 2013 through a grant administered by the Boston Public Libraries. The group has performed for seniors in the area, at nursing homes, organizations and day programs. JP Jubilee has been featured on local cable television and has performed at the Boston Public Library in Copley Square as well as its home base of the Jamaica Plain branch. The group’s concerts are highly varied in repertoire, including Renaissance madrigals, folk songs, show tunes and songs from Hamilton.
JP Jubilee meets weekly for 12 weeks, and there is no audition required. No fees are required for membership. Email lizanker@comcast.net or telephone (617) 983-3638 for more information or to join our list. We begin again in February.
